Data protection

Information on data protection

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and strive to make the use of our Joinpoints platform and each of our other products secure. With this privacy policy, we would like to inform you about what data we collect and store and how we protect it. We also undertake to comply with all statutory data protection regulations.

What data do we collect

We primarily collect the personal data of every registered user on our platform. This data is provided either during registration itself or in the user’s profile. This includes your e-mail address, your name and, in the case of a paid account, the address and telephone number of the invoice recipient.

This data is required to ensure the basic functions of the platform and to be able to ensure possible business processing in the form of a monthly or annual subscription.

No liability is assumed for the content and any data stored by the user in their account on the Joinpoints platform. Furthermore, it cannot be guaranteed what content the user’s data will be recorded and stored on their account. Subsequently, the user assumes full liability for any content that is collected and stored on their account.

Data security

The Joinpoints platform and the company behind it, Jakob Deimbacher, and its employees do not pass on any personal data to third parties.

To protect your data, we use 256-bit encryption in the form of an SSL certificate and other state-of-the-art security measures when transferring data. Furthermore, sensitive data stored on the Joinpoints platform is encrypted using state-of-the-art technology. Your data is stored exclusively in Austrian data centers of APA-IT Informations Technologie GmbH, which work according to the highest security standards and are TÜV certified.

We use cookies

To ensure that the functions of our platform work properly, we use cookies (small text files that are stored on your computer and can be accessed) for our services. The Joinpoints platform itself uses cookies for the registration areas and for our blog to suggest interesting blog posts to you.

We also use Google Analytics and Hotjar to record your online activities on our website. This data is stored and evaluated in anonymized form. Joinpoints and the company behind it, Jakob Deimbacher, do not transmit any personal data to these services. If you are logged in with a Google account when you visit our site, the visit can be assigned to your Google account. If you have more detailed questions, please contact the relevant services and platform behind them. If you do not wish to be assigned to your Google account, please log out of the respective account before your visit.

We also use Google Adwords cookies and Facebook Ads cookies for remarketing purposes in order to show you online advertising from Joinpoints at later points in time within the Google or Facebook advertising network. These are long-term cookies that can be stored for a maximum of 6 months.

By using our platform, you agree that the cookies listed above may be used.

Please note that the standard Internet browsers accept cookies in their default settings. This can be changed in the respective browser settings. You also have the option of deactivating the use of Google cookies at https://www.google.com/ads/preferences.

Google Services

We use Google services with the explicit consent of the Joinpoint account holder. This includes Google Calendar and G-Mail integration with the Joinpoint application. This connection can only be activated by an authorized user of the respective Joinpoint account. Communication between Joinpoints and Google takes place exclusively via SSL transmission and must be established in advance via the secure verification process OAuth2.

Using Google Calendar: When connecting Google Calendar with Joinpoints, only the available calendars of the connected user are retrieved, without any events or appointments stored in them. Joinpoints automatically adds appointments to a selected Google Calendar or automatically changes these appointments created by Joinpoints. This enables smooth handling of appointment synchronizations from Joinpoints to Google Calendar. No user data is published or other data retrieved.

Use of G-Mail integration: With the express consent of the user, Joinpoints is linked to the selected G-Mail mailbox. E-mails are retrieved, stored and processed in Joinpoints. This connection is used for e-mail tracking and to automatically record communication with individual customers or partners. The user has control over who can view these e-mails and what happens to them. No other personal data is retrieved or published.
